Our Multi National Design & Supervision Consultancy client has a new requirement for a well experienced consultant Civil Engineer experienced in snagging, de-snagging and pre-handover inspections to join their team in Dubai, UAE to work on a high profile new villa development. Successful candidates will have a proven background as a Senior Civil Engineer handling snagging and de-snagging on large scale villa developments in the UAE and the wider GCC and a proven background working in a recognised PMC or Consultancy business.
This role is available for immediate joining and is an initial 6 month contract as an outsource employed by J10 Consulting.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise snagging and de-snagging works and conduct daily site inspections for civil/structural and finishing works.
Verify contractor’s execution against approved shop drawings, IFC documents, method statements, and specifications.
Review and approve shop drawings, method statements, RFIs, material submittals, and samples related to structural, civil and finishing works.
Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, architectural, MEP, and safety teams to ensure integrated and conflict-free execution of works.
Raise and follow up on Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and quality-related concerns.
Support the authority inspections, by ensuring compliance and readiness of site documentation.
Monitor contractor’s progress and workmanship; issue site memos when deviation from schedule or quality is observed.
Requirements:
Senior Civil Engineer (Snagging) Experience:
Minimum Diploma or Bachelor s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or related
Must have proven experience in Villa projects with high end finishes in the UAE
Minimum of 7-8 years experience, at least 3 in UAE and with recognised consultancy companies
In depth review of the material submittals and shop drawings in compliance with project specifications and local regulations.
Ability to manage the snagging, de-snagging and pre-handover works and setting the inspections guidelines to the site team.
Confidently liaising with project stakeholders and authorities.
