Position: Sound Technician
Salary: QAR 3500
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sound Technician to manage audio systems and ensure high-quality sound production for events, performances, conferences, and live productions. The candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining sound equipment to deliver excellent audio performance. ([HRBlade][1])
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and test microphones, speakers, amplifiers, mixers, and other audio equipment before events
* Operate sound systems during live events, meetings, concerts, and productions
* Conduct sound checks and adjust audio levels for optimal sound quality
* Monitor and troubleshoot technical audio issues during events
* Maintain and repair audio equipment when required
* Coordinate with event managers, performers, and production teams
* Ensure proper cable management and equipment safety standards
* Maintain inventory and records of audio equipment
* Assist with dismantling and packing equipment after events
Requirements
* Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Sound Technician / Audio Technician
* Knowledge of digital and analog audio systems
* Experience with mixers, amplifiers, microphones, and PA systems
* Ability to troubleshoot audio issues quickly
* Familiarity with live sound operations and event production
* Good communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work under pressure and flexible timings
* Technical certification in Audio Engineering or related field preferred
Preferred Skills
* Knowledge of audio software and sound editing tools
* Experience in concerts, hotels, events, theaters, or conference setups
* Understanding of acoustics and signal flow
* Ability to handle multiple events and deadlines efficiently.
