Position: Electrical Design Engineer (MEP Projects)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to develop, design, and review electrical systems for MEP, commercial, residential, and industrial projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in electrical design, calculations, technical drawings, and multidisciplinary project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Prepare electrical design drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
✅ Design power distribution systems, lighting systems, control panels, and low-current systems.
✅ Perform electrical load calculations, cable sizing, and voltage drop calculations.
✅ Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD), schematics, BOQs, and technical documentation.
✅ Ensure designs comply with international standards and local authority regulations.
✅ Coordinate with mechanical, civil, architectural, and project teams.
✅ Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and consultant comments.
✅ Provide technical support during project execution and resolve site-related engineering issues.
✅ Attend project meetings and provide technical guidance to clients and stakeholders.
✅ Optimize electrical systems for safety, efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
Requirements
✔ Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
✔ Minimum 3–8 years of experience in Electrical Design Engineering.
✔ Proficiency in AutoCAD, Dialux, ETAP, or other relevant electrical design software.
✔ Strong knowledge of IEC, NEC, and UAE/local electrical standards.
✔ Solid understanding of LV/MV power systems and electrical distribution networks.
✔ Good communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
✔ Experience in MEP, construction, commercial, residential, or industrial projects is preferred.
✔ Must be currently residing in the UAE.
Preferred Skills
⭐ Experience with BIM and Revit MEP software.
⭐ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
⭐ Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
Salary: Negotiable / Based on Experience
