Davidson Management Consultants have been mandated to recruit a western trained, native Arabic speaking Consultant Surgical Oncologist for their client in Abu Dhabi, UAE which is a leading tertiary care hospital with a comprehensive oncology program providing advanced cancer diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management services.We are looking for Tier 1 Board Certified, Fellowship trained Surgical Oncologists with Western qualifications such as ABMS (USA), CCT/CCST (UK), RCPSC (Canada), or equivalent credentials recognized by the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi.
Candidates must have extensive experience managing complex oncologic cases within high-volume tertiary care or academic medical centers. The Consultant Surgical Oncologist will be responsible for the surgical management of a broad range of solid organ malignancies including gastrointestinal cancers, hepatobiliary tumors, colorectal malignancies, breast cancers, soft tissue tumors, endocrine tumors, and complex abdominal oncologic conditions. Perform major oncologic resections and minimally invasive cancer surgeries while ensuring evidence-based treatment planning, optimal surgical outcomes, and multidisciplinary coordination. Conduct comprehensive pre-operative evaluation, cancer staging review, treatment planning, and postoperative follow-up in collaboration with medical oncology, radiation oncology, pathology, radiology, gastroenterology, and critical care teams. Participate actively in multidisciplinary tumor boards, cancer management meetings, morbidity and mortality reviews, and quality improvement initiatives to ensure delivery of integrated and patient-centered oncology care.
Contribute to development of surgical oncology pathways, enhanced recovery protocols, and clinical governance frameworks aligned with international oncology standards. Support research activities, clinical trials, and academic programs aimed at advancing cancer care and surgical oncology services within the institution. Supervise and mentor junior surgeons, residents, fellows, and operating theatre teams while contributing to teaching and continuous medical education activities. Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with Department of Health regulations, hospital policies, patient safety standards, and ethical surgical practices while supporting the hospital’s strategic growth as a regional center of excellence in oncology services.
Salary : Aed 120,000 per month plus family benefits and incentives (Salary mentioned in the advertisement is indicative. The final offer lies at the discretion of the client and will be made after completion of interviews).
