In this role you will be responsible for managing and coordinating all interfaces between the railway system and airport infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration of rail operations with terminal functions, passenger processing, and baggage systems. The role will oversee airport integration activities from concept through design, procurement support, testing, and commissioning, ensuring alignment with operational requirements, stakeholder expectations, and industry best practices. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead and manage all airport integration activities across the project lifecycle, from feasibility and concept design through detailed design, D&C tender support, and delivery Define and implement the airport integration strategy, ensuring alignment between rail systems, airport operations, and terminal infrastructure Coordinate interfaces between rail stations and airport terminals, including passenger access, circulation, and operational connectivity Ensure seamless integration with airport systems including passenger processing systems, terminal operations, and Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) Develop and manage interface requirements and Interface Control Documents (ICDs) between rail and airport systems Coordinate closely with airport authorities, operators, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with operational, regulatory, and security requirements Support passenger and baggage planning strategies, including segregation of checked and non-checked passengers and efficient transfer processes Support preparation of Design and Construct tender documentation, including integration requirements, technical specifications, and performance criteria Identify and manage risks related to airport interfaces, operational constraints, and system integration, and implement mitigation measures Coordinate integration activities during testing and commissioning phases, ensuring readiness for operations and smooth handover Ensure compliance with project specifications, aviation standards, safety requirements, and international best practices Provide technical leadership and support to the Project Manager and multidisciplinary teams, ensuring coordinated delivery of airport-integrated systems What Required Skills You’ll Bring: Engineering Degree (Civil, Systems, Transportation, or equivalent) from a recognized University. Certification or membership of a recognized and relevant professional institute or association is an advantage Minimum 10 years of experience in rail, airport, or integrated transport projects in Dubai, the GCC, and/or internationally Extensive experience in airport integration and coordination of complex interfaces between rail systems and airport infrastructure Proven experience in managing both technical and management scope of large-scale, multi-disciplinary infrastructure or airport projects Familiarity with international standards and best practices in airport systems, rail integration coupled with a strong understanding of passenger flow, terminal operations, and multimodal connectivity in high-capacity environments Experience working with airport authorities, operators, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with operational and regulatory requirements What Desired Skills You’ll Bring: Relevant expertise in rail systems, airport integration, passenger and baggage planning, and coordination with Baggage Handling Systems (BHS) Demonstrable communication and leadership skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage complex stakeholder environments Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to identify risks and develop practical solutions Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environments and support delivery across all project stages Parsons equally employs representation at all job levels no matter the race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age, disability or genetic information.
