Responsibilities
Our newest opportunity is for a highly experienced Civil Inspector to join our site supervision team in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Civil Inspector shall be responsible for supervising and inspecting civil construction activities during the enabling and early works phase, ensuring all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, applicable standards, and project quality requirements. The role requires a strong site presence and hands-on inspection experience across early infrastructure, earthworks, and associated civil works.
Acting as part of the Site Supervision Consultant team, the Civil Inspector supports quality assurance, safety compliance, and effective coordination across multiple work fronts.
The Civil Inspector shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Attend to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by the Contractor and take appropriate action in a timely manner
Inspect civil works to verify compliance with approved IFC drawings, specifications, method statements, and applicable standards
Review shop drawings related to civil works against contract drawings, specifications, local codes, statutory requirements, and international best practice
Supervise and inspect civil construction activities associated with enabling and early works, including earthworks, foundations, concrete works, temporary works, and early infrastructure
Monitor quality of works and verify compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Identify, record, and report works found to be non-compliant with approved drawings or specifications, and escalate to the supervision team for appropriate action
Prepare site surveillance reports and raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required
Monitor site safety, health, and environmental conditions in coordination with the HSE team, ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements
Maintain accurate daily site records including inspection logs, progress photographs, and field observations
Ensure effective coordination between civil works and other disciplines to avoid conflicts or rework
Provide technical input and practical site experience to support resolution of discipline-related construction issues
Participate in coordination meetings, inspections, and site walks as required by the supervision team
Qualifications
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 5 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering.
