Responsibilities
Installation: Install telecom systems including fiber optic cables, copper lines, and network equipment.
Commissioning: Perform commissioning activities for telecom systems such as PABX, LAN/WAN, radio, and satellite communication.
Testing & Verification: Conduct OTDR tests, continuity checks, and signal verification to ensure system integrity.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify telecom faults during commissioning and start-up phases.
Documentation: Record test results, prepare commissioning reports, and maintain compliance documentation.
Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to offshore HSE standards, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and permit-to-work systems.
Requirements
Requirements
Diploma/Certificate in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of offshore telecom installation and commissioning experience.
Strong knowledge of fiber optic splicing, copper cable termination, and Ex-rated telecom equipment.
Ability to read and interpret telecom drawings, splice diagrams, and commissioning procedures.
Familiarity with IEC, ITU, and NOC standards.

Fiber Optic Splicing Qualification
Telecom Commissioning Qualification
COMPEX IEC 60079 training (for Ex-rated installations)
BOSIET / HUET (OPITO certified)
Basic H2S Training
EPCIC Project HSES Induction
