Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and possess at least 20 years of experience in the energy, oil & gas, or industrial sectors. Proven expertise as a Technical Authority or Principal Consultant is required, along with proficiency in Smart3D and E3D software.

Job Summary

We are seeking an Inplant Principal Piping Layout Engineering Design (SME) to
serve as the Technical Authority across our portfolio of energy, oil & gas,
mining, industrial and infrastructure projects in Saudi Arabia.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership throughout the
project lifecycle, including proposals, concept studies, FEED, detailed
engineering, construction support and commissioning. Acting as the highest level
of technical authority within their discipline, the successful candidate will
provide specialist expertise, ensure engineering excellence, strengthen
technical governance and support the delivery of safe, innovative and
high-quality engineering solutions.

In addition to supporting projects, the SME will mentor engineering teams,
establish and maintain technical standards, support business development
activities, contribute to technical assurance and build trusted relationships
with clients and key stakeholders across the region.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Role Purpose

* Lead 3D plant layout and piping arrangement for complex industrial
facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

* Act as the Technical Authority across multiple projects.
* Lead technical reviews during Concept, FEED and Detailed Design.
* Perform independent design assurance and peer reviews.
* Resolve complex engineering challenges and provide specialist guidance.
* Support proposals, client workshops and business development.
* Mentor engineers and develop technical capability.
* Develop and maintain engineering standards and best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant Engineering discipline.
* Chartered Engineer/Professional Engineer status is preferred.

Experience:

* Minimum 20 years of experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, Mining or
Industrial projects.
* Proven experience as a Technical Authority, Chief Engineer, Principal
Consultant, Engineering Fellow or equivalent.

Technical Expertise:

* Plant layout, Smart3D, E3D, clash detection, constructability.

Knowledge of Standards

* ASME, client standards.
