Requirements

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a valid UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA). A minimum of 2 years of experience in a paediatric hospital or similar clinical setting is required.

Job Summary

The Outpatient Department Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to
patients attending the outpatient facility or clinic. Responsibilities include
recording patient histories, performing diagnostic tests, administering
medications, and developing patient care plans in collaboration with physicians
and other healthcare professionals. The role involves assisting physicians
during examinations and procedures, operating and monitoring medical equipment
as required, and ensuring the safe and effective delivery of evidence-based
care. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

* Deliver a high standard of evidence-based care to patients.
* Adhere to Dubai Health Authority guidelines and all relevant regulatory
standards.
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care needs on an ongoing basis.
* Provide regular and accurate updates to patients and their relatives,
ensuring communication is sensitive and easy to understand.
* Support patients, caregivers, and families by involving them in the care
process where appropriate and providing health education to promote healthy
lifestyles.
* Maintain patient confidentiality at all times, ensuring dignity, privacy,
cultural, and religious beliefs are respected.
* Uphold high standards of care across all outpatient services.
* Ensure that relevant information regarding patient condition and care is
communicated clearly to the multidisciplinary team.
* Work flexibly across the organization to maintain safe staffing levels or as
part of professional development needs identified in the appraisal process.

QUALIFICATIONS

* UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA).
* Bachelor’s degree in nursing
* Has worked in Paediatric hospital or similar setting for at least 2 years
* Proficient in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to manage digital documentation and
communication effectively.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively
with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and stakeholders.
