Requirements

Candidates must be able to operate laundry machinery and handle chemicals safely while following strict hotel policies. They are expected to maintain high standards of cleanliness and comply with all safety regulations and equipment usage protocols.

Job Summary

•Assists in sorting hotel and guest Laundry for washing
•Helps in timely loading and unloading of machines
•Assists in transferring Laundry and clothes between machines
•Feeds in Laundry in the flat-work ironer
•Ensures timely addition of chemicals in proper quantity
•Maintains proper temperature, pressure and water level
•Ensures machines and areas are kept free of lint
•Ensures general cleanliness of the entire laundry department
•Co-operate with the company to achieve compliance with FLS legislation
•Take moral and legal responsibility for conducting themselves in their work so
they do not expose themselves or others to risk
•Read, understand, and implement the relevant sections of the FLS Policy
•Sign the Employees’ Declaration having read and understood the relevant
sections of the FLS Policy
•Not promote or participate in horseplay, pranks, or practical jokes, which may
result in an accident or injury
•Not intentionally or recklessly interfering with anything provided in the
interests of safety
•Make careful use of safety equipment, such as gloves, goggles, aprons,
overalls, shoes, and so on

Responsibilities

The Laundry Attendant is responsible for sorting, washing, and ironing hotel linens while ensuring machines are properly maintained and chemicals are used correctly. They must also maintain a clean work environment and adhere to all safety and FLS legislation policies.
