discerning guests to play and relax. Located less than 50 minutes from Dubai
International Airport, this integrated resort offering 1,530 rooms and suites,
22 restaurants and lounges, a theatre, nightclub, and five-star spa is currently
under construction on a picturesque island that gracefully curves into the
Arabian Gulf.
About the Position:
Wynn Al Marjan Island is currently seeking an Assistant Director – Audio Visual
Technical to join the resort’s the resort’s AV and Entertainment Technical
Services team.
* The primary duties and responsibilities of this role are:
* Oversight of AV technical and special event operational teams’ performance,
training and development.
* Directs the operation, deployment and maintenance of fixed AV and
entertainment plant and equipment including Sportsbook AV systems, Poker
Tournaments, Performance Lake, Background Music (BGM), Specialist Lighting,
Visual Displays, LED walls, Large-Format Screens, IP-based video routing, and
broadcast-adjacent visual systems.
* Develop and implement AV system uptime strategy and performance KPIs and
Lifecycle planning.
* Inspect outlets and events frequently to monitor AV setup and output QA
* Develops, implements and monitors quality control mechanisms for the AV
Department including setup, storage, audio and video, staff grooming,
equipment use, and health and safety
* Monitor systems components to maximize performance excellence
* Leads systems and equipment issues resolution by identifying problems and
implementing appropriate solutions
* Overseas and manages outsourced service providers and third-party vendors
* Develop, lead, and mentor AV Technical, Events and Performance Lake team
members.
* Evaluate AV requirements and manage the inventory of operating supplies and
equipment needs and as required raise purchase requestions for spares and
operational supplies
* Develop, implement and monitor procedures, process and quality control
mechanisms for the AV Department.
* Continually monitors and seeks means to improve health and safety standards
* Accountable for Visual Revenue and Uptime Risk
* Guest Audio and Visual experience
* AV system uptime and quality assurance
About You:
The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience
and qualifications:
* Minimum 15 years of experience in Audio Visual technical services, with a
minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role, managing technical teams and
special event setup and operation crews.
* Manages and operates the entire resort AV and Event operation as if it were a
mission-critical utility
* Experience in luxury resorts or five-star entertainment venues is highly
desirable.
* Industry certifications in Visual Display System control technology
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Fluent in English; excellent interpersonal and coordination abilities in
multicultural environments
* Self-motivated, highly organized, and composed under pressure.
* Strong creative thinking and attention to detail.
* Professional demeanor and commitment to delivering exceptional guest
experiences.
* Degree in Audio Engineering, Technical Theatre, Production Design, or related
field would be a plus
