Job Summary
This is the junior-level position in the sales organization. Focus is on utilizing previous experience, combining technical knowledge with sales. Responsible for processing low to medium-complexity tasks like closing low to large-value sales deals, generating enquiries for new products, etc., Working under minimal supervision to acquire skills and knowledge.
Duties & Responsibilities
– Preparing and developing technical presentations to explain our company’s products or services to customers.
– Discuss equipment needs and process system requirements with customers/engineers.
– Collaborating with sales teams to understand customer requirements and provide sales support.
– Generating high-quality sales leads, following up after initial contact, securing and renewing orders, negotiating prices, completing sales, and providing support to the logistics team if required.
– Researching, developing and modifying products to meet customers’ technical requirements and needs.
– Helping customers who have problems with installed products and recommending improved or upgraded solutions.
– Soliciting and logging client feedback in the company system, as well as evaluating the data to create new sales and marketing strategies to target relevant customers.
– Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
– Setting and achieving sales goals and quotas.
– Training other members of the sales team on the technical aspects of the company’s products and services, where applicable.
– Developing long-term agreement opportunities & securing long-term contracts with customers.
– Performs other duties as assigned.
QHSE Responsibilities
– Learn and abide by HSE standards and regulations that pertain to their work, and contact a supervisor if there is any confusion over what is required;
– Participating in all QHSSE meetings and discussing health, safety and environmental issues and communicating it down the line
– Attempt to correct unsafe or hazardous conditions. Where conditions cannot be corrected, report the hazards to a supervisor;
– The HSE officers / coordinators recommendations given in their observation report are attended to immediately.
– Keep written records of incidents and Ensuring new employees are sent to HSE Officer for QHSSE induction.
– Know the locations of emergency, personal protective and spill response equipment and how to properly use it;
– Monitor activities of fellow employees and workers, especially new or inexperienced workers, to ensure they do not place themselves or others at risk.
– Taking an active part in the HSE meetings, when required.
– Refer OHSMS Manual, section 4.4.1 for additional HSE roles, responsibility, accountability and authority
Job Specific Education & Certification
– Bachelor’s Degree in a related Engineering field (Chemical / Petrochemical / Mechanical / Petroleum)
Skills & Competencies
– Products handled encompass a broad range, including but not limited to Heat Transfer Equipment, Dosing Pumps/Skids, Chemicals, Activated Carbon, and Digitalization solutions.
– Candidates with experience in Qatar and a valid Qatari driving license are preferred.
– Familiarity with permits, gate passes, and other regulatory requirements specific to Qatar is essential.
– Knowledge of LNG, Petrochemical, and Refinery processes is highly desirable.
– This role involves significant client interaction; at least 60% of the time will be spent with clients or at client sites.
– Strong communication, interpersonal, customer service, and sales skills are crucial for success.
– Ability to convey technical and commercial information effectively to both technical and non-technical customers at various organizational levels.
– Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
– Commitment to ongoing sales and engineering education is required.
Experience
– 2-3 years experience in Oil & Gas Process Equipment sales and the technology field, will be a plus
– Qatar Driving License
– Transferable visa
