Role Summary
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Consultant Pediatric Surgeon to join a prestigious healthcare facility in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will provide expert surgical care to pediatric patients, lead multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to clinical excellence and innovation in pediatric surgery.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality surgical care to pediatric patients, including neonates, infants, children, and adolescents
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures within the scope of pediatric surgery privileges
Conduct daily ward rounds and formulate multidisciplinary treatment plans
Supervise junior medical staff and participate in their training and evaluation
Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with hospital standards
Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and clinical audits
Provide on-call coverage and respond to emergencies as per departmental schedule
Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and safety protocols
Engage in research, publications, and continuous medical education activities
Collaborate with other specialties for complex case management and referrals
Qualifications & Experience
Medical degree from a recognized institution
Completion of accredited residency and fellowship in Pediatric Surgery
Board certification in Pediatric Surgery (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent)
Minimum 7 years of experience post-specialization, with at least 2 years in a tertiary care center
Eligibility for licensing with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
