Job Description
Ensure contractor compliance with project standards, specifications, and approved drawings through regular site inspections and audits
Maintain comprehensive daily records of contractor activities, manpower, equipment, and site progress
Undertake site supervision and measurements (pipe alignments, levels, elevations) as instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE)
Apply and enforce quality control and quality assurance procedures on site, monitoring contractor QA/QC activities and maintaining relevant records
Prepare daily reports for the RE or ARE, including work orders, materials delivery, inspection activities, and identified site issues
Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and Site Observation Reports (SORs) for deviations, and follow up on corrective actions
Review and provide comments on Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical submittals from contractors
Monitor contractor progress against approved schedules and report delays or potential slippages to the RE or ARE
Liaise daily with the contractor to ensure effective management of resources, health and safety, and equipment
Ensure all site works comply with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements and local authority regulations (RTA, DM, DEWA, etc.)
Coordinate with other disciplines (structural, electrical, mechanical) to ensure proper integration of civil works
Participate in site meetings, coordination sessions, and technical discussions with relevant stakeholders
Conduct final inspections and punch list verification prior to project milestones and handover stages
Qualifications
Maximum of 8-10 years of experience.
Knowledge with the local authority procedure, standards and regulations in UAE is essential.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
BE in Civil engineering with equivalency certificate is mandatory
Additional Information
Roads and transportation experience will only be considered, candidate should have worked mandatory in UAE for 5 years minimum, with DM or RTA approvals.
