Job Overview:

As a Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manager within Priority
Banking at Emirates NBD, your role is to responsible for the acquisition of new
client relationships for this segment, maintenance and growth of existing client
relationships, meeting revenue targets for Assets, Liabilities, Investments and
Insurance business, achieve high levels of service standards and maximize client
satisfaction and compliance with UAE Central Bank and anti-money laundering
regulations.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

* Financials
– Builds and develops relationships with Priority Banking clients, while
leveraging customer service representatives (CSRs) for basic transactions.
– Acquires new clients, presents products, and closes deals to contribute to
unit goals. 
* Services
– Offers comprehensive advice on all Priority Banking products, including
basic banking, lending, and wealth management.
– Proactively contacts clients to cross-sell products and promote new
offerings. 
* Compliance
– Follows all policies related to operational risk, sales practices, and
anti-mis-selling.
– Keeps client profiles up-to-date, upholds confidentiality, and assesses
risk tolerance for suitable product recommendations. 
* Initiative
– Monitors and improves service quality to exceed client expectations.
– Cross-sells and refers clients to other bank areas, staying informed of
market trends and competitor activity. 

 

Skills and Experience:

* University Degree in Business or Finance.
* CISI Certification is preferred
*  At least 4 years in a sales role within the Financial services/Banking
industry.
* Experience across a wide range of Banking areas, e.g. Retail and Wealth
Management.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills. Interpersonal skills are
essential for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Client retention and portfolio growth through proactive relationship
management
* Engage priority banking clients to understand evolving financial needs and
recommend suitable retail banking products.
* Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities within the assigned portfolio
to support business growth targets.
* Monitor client satisfaction and address service issues in line with
established escalation protocols.
* Maintain regular contact with clients to reinforce loyalty and reduce
attrition risk.

Performance Measures:
* Depth of wallet and product penetration within managed client base
* Client feedback on relationship quality and responsiveness
* Reduction in client attrition rates attributable to proactive engagement

2. Operational risk mitigation and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Verify client documentation and ensure adherence to KYC, AML, and CDD
standards as per regulatory and bank policy.
* Escalate any suspicious activity or documentation discrepancies to compliance
and management.
* Keep accurate and up-to-date records of all client interactions and
transactions in the bank’s CRM system.
* Participate in periodic audits and compliance reviews by providing required
information and clarifications.

Performance Measures:
* Absence of compliance breaches or regulatory findings in client files
* Timeliness and completeness of KYC/AML documentation updates
* Audit outcomes reflecting adherence to operational risk controls

3. Service excellence delivery for affluent clients
* Coordinate with internal teams to resolve client queries and service requests
promptly.
* Facilitate seamless onboarding for new clients by guiding them through
account opening and product setup.
* Educate clients on digital banking tools and promote adoption for enhanced
convenience and security.
* Collect and act on client feedback to improve service delivery within the
branch.

Performance Measures:
* Client satisfaction scores related to service delivery
* Uptake of digital banking channels among managed clients
* Resolution rate and turnaround time for client service requests

4. Accurate execution of transactional and administrative processes
* Process account maintenance requests, fund transfers, and product
applications in accordance with standard operating procedures.
* Validate transaction details and ensure all required approvals are obtained
before execution.
* Update client records and ensure data integrity in all banking systems.
* Support branch operations by assisting with daily reconciliations and
reporting exceptions to supervisors.

Performance Measures:
* Accuracy and completeness of processed transactions
* Frequency of operational errors or exceptions reported
* Consistency of record-keeping and data quality in banking systems

QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor’s degree in Banking, Finance, Business Administration or related
field
* Preferred: Certification in Relationship Management or Retail Banking (e.g.,
CBM, CBBM)
* Ongoing professional development in regulatory compliance and digital banking

Responsibilities

The Relationship Manager is responsible for acquiring new clients and managing existing portfolios to meet revenue targets in assets, liabilities, and investments.
