Overview
AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Resident Engineer, in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Your role
Lead and supervise all mechanical engineering activities related to EHV/HV substations (132kV, 220kV, 400kV and above).
Ensure construction activities are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, contract documents, and local authority requirements.
Monitor contractor performance, productivity, and adherence to project schedules.
Conduct regular site inspections to verify progress, workmanship, and compliance.
Review and recommend approval of contractor submissions, including method statements, material submittals, shop drawings, and work procedures.
Participate in progress review meetings and coordinate with all project stakeholders
About you
Bachelor’s degree or a related field.
Minimum of 12+ years of experience in MEP engineering, with a focus on erection, testing, and commissioning.
Excellent coordination and communication skills to work effectively with subcontractors, clients, and civil teams.
Proven ability to prepare and review technical drawings and calculations.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
