Requirements

Requires a High Diploma in Automotive Mechanics or a related field with 2-3 years of experience in an automotive dealership. Proficiency in vehicle diagnostic systems and fluency in English are preferred.

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
* Perform minor periodic maintenance services in accordance with MG guidelines
and company SOPs.
* Diagnose, repair, and replace worn or faulty vehicle components as per job
orders.
* Conduct Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) to ensure vehicle readiness and
quality standards.
* Utilize vehicle diagnostic scanning tools (VDS) to read, analyze, and clear
fault codes.
* Assist diagnostic and repair technicians with complex repair activities as
required.
* Continuously update technical knowledge through formal training and
development programs.
* Maintain an inventory of standard technician tools and ensure proper tool
management.
* Prepare clear and accurate documentation of completed work, highlighting any
technical or safety concerns.
* Ensure proper clocking in and out of assigned job orders in accordance with
company procedures.
* Coordinate with Workshop Controllers regarding vehicle status and with Parts
Advisors to obtain required parts.
* Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to company policies and
procedures.
* Maintain a professional attitude, appearance, and conduct at all times.
* Ensure workshop equipment and company assets are maintained properly.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
* Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Experience
* High Diploma or equivalent qualification in Automotive Mechanics or a related
field.
* Minimum of 2 – 3 years of relevant experience in an automotive dealership
environment in a similar role.
* Experience working with vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair
procedures.
* Brand Advanced Technician Qualification Certification is advantage.
* Additional manufacturer certifications will be considered an advantage.
* Fluency in English is preferred.
* Computer literacy and familiarity with automotive diagnostic systems.
* Experience using vehicle diagnostic and scanning tools.
* Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills.
* Basic telephone and computer operation skills.
